Music and Visual - News about the whole art (03/August/2016)
Dark Embrace recruits Snowy Shaw as session drummer and starts mixing new album. Title and new logo revealed. Artwork in process.

Dark Embrace have just finished the recording of their new album titled "The Call of the Wolves" together with drummer Snowy Shaw (ex-member from bands such as King Diamond, Sabaton, Dream Evil, Mercyful Fate, Therion or Dimmu Borgir). The recording sessions have taken place through Sweden and Spain at Sound Industry Studios with Arnold Lindberg and Estudios Mafia with Oscar Fernández and Raúl Muradás. Now the mixing process is being done and the other new members are going to be announced later this month.

This new recording means a new era for the band. That's the reason behind the new logo and symbol made by graphic designer Mario Moreira. The artwork is being created by Gustavo Sazes who also did works for Arch Enemy, Morbid Angel, Amaranthe, Kamelot, Angra, Rage, Sirenia, The Agonist, etc... So expect a great cover album! Also a videoclip will be shot in the first days of September by the video production company Ziwa directed by Santiago Raimundi.

Info about Dark Embrace (15/June/2015)

Dark Embrace is a Spanish band influenced by the dark subgenres of Heavy Metal. The band was born in Galicia, northwest area of Spain, which may explain their creative obsession with everything dark-related.

Originally founded in June 2000, the band produced three demo works from 2000 to 2004. These works showed the spirit and potential of the band, getting good reviews from the Metal press.

Oscar (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Anaea (bass) and Moritz (drums, ex-Atrocity/Leave's Eyes) recorded in 2005 their first album at Stage One Studio (Tankard, Rotting Christ, etc..) with Andy Classen (ex-Holy Moses) as producer.

After inking a deal with German label Armageddon Music (later Wacken Records), Dark Embrace saw their first official album, The Rebirth Of Darkness, launched through the Internet with digital distribution, but a physical album never was released.

From 2006 to 2008, the band increased their success with a good amount of shows and tours with different famed bands such as Sepultura, Amon Amarth, Destruction, Watain, To/Die/For, Agathodaimon, Beseech, etc... Featuring Oscar Rilo on vocals, Alejandro Varela and Raul Muradas on guitars, Anaea on bass and Sebastian on drums.

After an hiatus of 6 years, Dark Embrace is back with new songs and musicians. Now, searching for a record label to release their first album in a physical format and looking forward to hit the road again. Also an upcoming new album is expected to be recorded this year.

JUNE 2015

Dark Embrace - The Rebirth Of Darkness review:

(...) In this stuff you can meet influences from Black and Death Metal to Gothic and Heavy metal music and all these in a very theatrical way with a very nice sound and production. This work is the worst enemy of monotony! (...) I think that this is a work that has to be listened from every fan of metal music (...) DARK EMBRACE in my mind will stay as one of the best new coming band that I've ever heard! Rating: 6/6

Andreas Kourtidis, December 31st 2005, Metal Invader Webzine (GR).
